At Adroit
Data Recovery Centre, depending on the customer's needs, we provide various
types of service plans.
Costs of
our Data Recovery Service varies according to:
- Different kinds of media
- Level of difficulty in recovering your data
- Types of service plans

| Standard Service |
- You send in your data media for a free evaluation. We do a free "check up" of your media.
- The evaluation takes 1 to 2 working days.
(or slightly longer if the job queue is long on first-come-first-served basis)
- We will then generate a quotation for you. You then decide whether to continue with the data recovery.
- If however, you decide not to proceed with the data recovery, we will then charge a small S$50 cancellation fee to cover the time spent in handling your data media.
- This is not evaluation fee because it will only be charged if you cancel the job. The cancellation fee does not include any delivery charge/custom or duty tax (if any).
- Upon confirmation of quotation, in the event that the data is not recoverable, there will be absolutely no charge.
- In our standard service, jobs are processed on queue. For a 10 to 40 GB hard disk, price ranges typically from S$200 to S$2000 and time taken ranges from 2 to 5 working days, most of them are done within 1 to 3 working days.

| Priority Evaluation |
- If you need an evaluation or quotation within 24 hours, you can "Jump Queue" by selecting our Priority Evaluation service. We will then put your case at the top of our evaluation job list.
- Your quotation will be ready within 1 working day.
- In this case, if you cancel the job upon quotation, the cancellation fee will be S$100.
- The price of recovery remains the same as those in Standard Service. No charge if data is not recoverable.

| Express Service |
- If time is a critical factor, we suggest using our Express Service. By using our Express Service, we will start working on your data media until we get your data, generally within 48 hours.
- There is an additional surcharge of 20 to 40% of normal pricing. There is no charge if data is not recoverable.

Cancellation Fee versus Evaluation Fee
Some may ask why then do we charge a cancellation fee of S$50 if the data recovery job is cancelled? Is this the evaluation fee in a different form?
If the cancellation fee is equivalent to evaluation fee, then the customer must pay this fixed fee regardless if the job is recoverable or not. However, this is not the case because if we fail to recover the data, there will be no charge at all, not even the cancellation fee.
The idea of charging the cancellation fee is to discourage those who are not genuine in pursuing the data recovery process with Adroit Data Recovery Centre. We reckon the best way is to impose a small amount of cancellation fee. Moreover, we think it is fair that we should be covered in a little way for the time spent in handling the disk just because the customers decide not to go ahead with the recovery for whatever reasons.
Further, customers would have known our price range from our pricing guide or after calling us so we will not arbitrarily raise the price in order to force the customer to cancel the job to reap the cancellation fee.
