Data Recovery FAQ
Data Recovery Success Rate

Question:

Data Recovery Rate - Some data recovery company could achieve more than 90% success rate. What is your success rate ?

Answer:

Data recovery is always a rescue attempt. As it is, there will always be cases whereby the jobs are not recoverable.

The rate of recovery depends on types of disk, hard disk model, failure mode, possible recovery attempts by user (that may complicate the situation) etc.

If some one tells you they have a success rate of 99% and you are taken in, when the job fails, they will then tell you that you are the 1% out unfortunately.

We do not publish a good figure to attract customers. It is suffice to say that if we could not recover your data, probably no one else could.

If the customers do need a percentage confident level, we could only gauge after evaluating the data media. Most of the time, a blanket success rate is meaningless and often misleading.
