The cost of recovery depends on job complexity, and not the amount of data required. If you have 2-GB of data files on a damaged 200-GB hard disk drive, it is likely to cost more to recover then recovering the same amount of data on a 20-GB drive.The reason is because as disk capacity gets larger, the number of Read-Write heads, platter faces, magnetic density and rotating speed also increases together with recovering effort difficulty.
